Larchmont. Hollywood’s Hidden Gem.

When I toured Paramount Studios a few days ago, my tour guide recommended that my group visit Larchmont–an essentially one-street village filled with small shops, restaurants and boutiques. And I’m glad I did.

This is yet another cute strip of creative and interesting shops that’s worth your time. In my two hours there, I ate some chocolate and enjoyed great sushi outside while the sun set. The best part about this place is that it feels like it’s own little world. It’s tucked away in this neighborhood just a few blocks down from Hollywood. If you’ve got an hour (or two), pay a visit to Larchmont. At the very least, if you meet any native Angelenos, you’ll have an “insider” place that you can discuss with them.

Travel Tip: My GPS had issues finding Larchmont (it didn’t recognize it as a city), but you can try typing in Beverly Blvd. and W 3rd St. and then turn onto S. Larchmont Blvd.
